Seed Meets Technology 2019

CENTOR EUROPE participated in the 6th edition of the Seed Meets Technology event which was held during week 39 together with the Vegetable seed companies Dutch open field days, in The Netherlands. During the event we were joined by CENTOR ISRAEL and CENTOR OCEANIA. All participants agree that this year was a very good event with a large number of participants and international attendees. Delegates from the International Seed Technologist Symposium (ISS) held in The Netherlands this year, also took time off from their symposium to visit the event.

During this three day event we were able to meet with many international customers and friends allowing us to present our seed coating with focus on biobased and biological seed coating technology. As micro-plastics in coating polymers and the loss of crop protection actives in seed treatment are currently driving the European seed industry, CENTOR EUROPE was able to show customers which alternative sustainable coating technologies are available for the conventional as well as the organic seed sector. For this reason we presented cabbage, spinach and corn seedlings on our stand for customers to evaluate the added value of not only our biological seed coating, but also our novel seed coating range which was developed especially with Micro-organisms in mind. Choosing this mixture of hybrid vegetable crops together with the corn gained interest from a broad spectrum of seed industry clients in the vegetable and agronomical breeder producer as well as seed production and seedling nursery companies. We would like to thank all who visited with us in the stand these past couple of days and look forward to our cooperation in the near future.
